Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin on Monday ordered all U.S. and state flags to be flown at half-staff in memory of Corey Comperatore, the former fire chief who died at former President Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday.

Mr. Comperatore was killed while shielding his family from gunshots that rang out during Mr. Trump’s speech in Butler County. The gunman grazed Mr. Trump’s ear and injured two other rally-goers.

“Virginia stands in solidarity with and extends prayers to all Pennsylvanians, especially those who remain in critical condition and their families,” Mr. Youngkin, a Republican, said in his order.

The order takes effect at noon Monday and will last until sunset on Tuesday.
