The Biden campaign has declined former President Donald Trump’s challenge to play President Biden in an 18-hole golf match.

Joe Biden doesn’t have time for Donald Trump’s weird antics — he’s busy leading America and defending the free world,” Biden campaign spokesperson James Singer responded to the invitation to a showdown on the golf course.

Mr. Singer instead offered a series of different challenges for Mr. Trump.

“We’d challenge Donald Trump to create jobs, but he lost 3 million. We’d challenge Donald Trump to stand up to Putin, but he bent the knee to him. We’d challenge Donald Trump to follow the law, but he breaks it,” he said.

He also hit Mr. Trump on not being “seen in public for 12 days.”

“Now he’s inviting fictional serial killers to dinner, teasing lil’ Marco Rubio, praising Project 2025 architect Tom Homan, and challenging the President of the United States to golf,” Mr. Singer said.

Donald Trump is a liar, a convict, and a fraud only out for himself — par for the course,” he said.

Mr. Trump challenged the president to the golf match at a rally Tuesday, while also inviting him to debate again to have a “chance to redeem himself.”

“Let’s do another debate this week so ’Sleepy’ Joe Biden can prove to everyone all over the world that he has what it takes to be president, but this time it will be man to man, no moderates, no holds barred,” Mr. Trump said during the rally at Trump National Doral Miami resort. “Just name the palace, anytime, anywhere.”

“And in the debate ‘Sleepy Joe’ also declared he wanted to test his skills and stamina against mine on the golf course. Can you believe this? Did you ever see him swing,” Mr. Trump said, before mocking Mr. Biden’s swing. “I am also officially challenging ’Crooked Joe’ to an 18-hole golf match right here.”

“If he wins I will give the charity of his choice, any charity he wants $1 million,” he said. “I bet you he doesn’t take the offer because he is all talk.”

Mr. Singer did not respond to the debate challenge.

The golf talk sprouted from an odd back-and-forth the two presumptive presidential candidates had at the first debate in Georgia last month where Mr. Biden said he would do better than Mr. Trump on the golf course.
