A new report reveals the extent of negative reactions in social media over President Biden’s poor performance at last week’s debate.

A CredoIQ report found that the 450 top-viewed TikTok posts about Thursday’s debate between Mr. Biden and former President Donald Trump had received more than 483 million views as of Sunday.

Videos expressing negative sentiments about Mr. Biden received 39% of those views, while videos expressing negative sentiments about Mr. Trump received 9.5% of views. Videos by progressive or independent accounts made up 60% of the negative Biden posts.

Posts that leaned negative about Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden got 35% of views, and posts that featured positive views about Mr. Trump or Mr. Biden garnered 5% of views.

Politico first reported about the CredoIQ report.

Mr. Biden had a dismal performance at Thursday’s debate in Georgia. Polls found that most viewers said Mr. Trump won the debate, despite the number of false statements he made.

Calls for Mr. Biden to step down from the Democratic ticket have grown, but the Biden campaign says the president will not drop out of the race.
