Former President Bill Clinton was listed among more than 150 names made public in court documents related to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and according to one female witness, Epstein told her Mr. Clinton “likes them young, referring to girls.”
The blockbuster testimony is buried in hundreds of pages of court documents made public Wednesday by a federal judge.
The documents, filed in Federal District Court in Manhattan were part of a now-settled lawsuit filed by one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Giuffre. The testimony about Mr. Clinton was taken in 2016 from Johanna Sjoberg, who said she was victimized by Epstein from 2001 until 2006.
Former President Trump is also named in the documents, but in less tawdry detail.
In testimony also provided by Ms. Sjoberg in the 2016 deposition, Epstein told her he planned to “call up Trump,” when his jet stopped in Atlantic City, where Mr. Trump once operated a hotel and casino.
Mr. Trump has said he was “not a fan” of Epstein and had banned him from his Mar-a-Lago club before 2008, when, according to a book about Trump, Epstein hit on the teenage daughter of another club member.
Ms. Sjoberg testified she had never seen Mr. Trump at any of Epstein’s homes or his private island. She also denied being asked by Epstein to engage in sexual contact with Mr. Trump or film director George Lucas.
Ms. Giuffre said she slept “once” with billionaire Tom Pritzker, who is an executive chairman of Hyatt Hotels and a member of the Aspen Institute.
She also said that she never had sex “in the back of a limousine” with Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz, who has adamantly denied claims of impropriety with women related to his relationship with Epstein.
The late pop icon Michael Jackson is also mentioned. A female witness who worked for Epstein said he visited Epstein at his Palm Beach home but did not receive a massage from the witness.
Mr. Clinton, 77, flew several times on Epstein’s private plane but is not implicated in any crime. He is named dozens of times in the documents, which were released online but quickly caused the court website to crash. The mentions of Mr. Clinton included references to news stories.
Both former presidents’ names and the identities of others listed in the lawsuit were previously redacted but a federal judge last month ordered all of the identities in the documents to be made public except for two of Epstein’s alleged victims.
The list includes names previously revealed in flight logs kept for Epstein’s private jet, dubbed the “Lolita Express.”
They were part of a 2015 lawsuit filed by Ms. Giuffre, against Epstein and his former accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is now serving a federal prison sentence following sex trafficking convictions.
In the redacted court documents, Mr. Clinton had been listed as “John Doe 36.” Maxwell testified Mr. Clinton did not visit Epstein’s private island, where some of Epstein’s sexual abuse of young girls took place, but said he took trips on Epstein’s private jet.
Other prominent names made public Wednesday include Prince Andrew, who had already been publicly tied to Mr. Epstein and faced sex abuse accusations by Ms. Giuffre.
The British prince has denied those allegations and settled a lawsuit brought by Ms. Giuffre.
Mr. Clinton has said he knew nothing about Epstein’s crimes and had not spoken to him in over a decade when Epstein was charged in 2019 with operating a sex trafficking ring and sexually abusing girls as young as 14.
Epstein was found dead in his prison cell after his arrest on sex trafficking charges. He had pleaded not guilty in the case and was facing 45 years in prison if convicted. Epstein’s death was ruled a suicide.
