Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley released two ads in South Carolina Wednesday just after losing to former President Donald Trump in New Hampshire.

The $4 million ad buy comes as the former South Carolina governor gets ready to see how she performs against Mr. Trump in her home state. The ads will air on statewide TV.

The first 30-second ad, “Story,” talks about President Biden being too old to serve a second term and Mr. Trump having too much chaos surrounding him. The ad calls the two of them “a rematch no one wants.”

The ad says Ms. Haley “will cut taxes, close the border and defeat the Chinese communist threat.”

The second 15-second ad, “Delivers,” talks about Ms. Haley’s record as governor. The ad touts how unemployment levels dropped, taxes were lowered and tough immigration laws were created during her 2011-17 tenure.

“Same old Biden and Trump? Or new conservative leadership?” the narrator says.

The South Carolina primary is set for Feb. 24. RealClearPolitics’ average of national polls shows Mr. Trump leading by 30 points over Ms. Haley in the Palmetto State. He beat her in the first-in-the-nation primary in New Hampshire Tuesday by 11 points. She placed third in the Jan. 15 Iowa caucuses.
