An estimated 100,000 airplanes fly every day. That’s 63.5 million flights in one year. Imagine the millions of tons of carbon dioxide being emitted! How dare they, right? Yet airlines aren’t the target of climate activists.

The 2019 annual estimate of carbon dioxide missions from flights was 900 million tons. On average, planes produce more carbon dioxide per passenger mile than cars. This is because aircraft emit a significant amount of carbon dioxide during takeoff and landing, which can be more fuel-intensive than the steady-state operation of cars. Nine hundred million tons! Hey, Al Gore and Greta Thunberg, get on the ball.
