MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell announced Friday that Fox News Channel dropped MyPillow commercials.

It appeared to end the turbulent but profitable longtime relationship between Mr. Lindell and Fox News.

“Ever since I’ve been speaking out about our election platforms since January ’21, they’ve been attacking my company, MyPillow, with cancel culture … and now Fox News,” Mr. Lindell said on Steve Bannon’s “WarRoom” show. “Fox News has canceled MyPillow.”

When asked why the cable news channel was refusing hundreds of millions of dollars in advertising from his company, Mr. Lindell responded: “It’s not like it’s their No. 1 product in history or their No. 1 commercial in history.”

A source familiar with the matter explained to The Washington Times that the partnership was suspended because Mr. Lindell hasn’t been able to finance the commercials and this was communicated to his media agency at length.

“As soon as their account is paid, we would be happy to accept their advertising,” a Fox News spokesperson said.

Mr. Lindell claimed the cancellation of the ads might have something to do with his hiring former Fox Business host Lou Dobbs for the new Lindell TV streaming platform.

“We don’t know why. We can only make a couple guesses. Maybe it was because Lou Dobbs was at it over on LindellTV. Just a few days ago, he showed his great new interview with our real president, Donald Trump,” he said.

“Or maybe it was because they don’t want my face even on their network leading up to the 2024 election. I don’t know. I don’t have the details yet. All I know is the commercials have been canceled.”

Fox Business canceled “Lou Dobbs Tonight” in 2021, a day after the host was named in a multibillion-dollar defamation lawsuit against the network and its parent company. The lawsuit ultimately resulted in the corporation paying a $787 million settlement.

The MyPillow CEO had been banned from appearing on Fox News as a guest for the last three years, but the network continued to run his company’s ads to their audience, many of whom are consumers of his products.

Newsmax continues to broadcast My Pillow ads.

Mr. Lindell previously pulled ads from Fox News in July 2021 after the network said it would not accept one of his commercials that advocated his symposium promoting claims of 2020 presidential election fraud.
