Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce will play in his fourth Super Bowl on Sunday. His family, meanwhile, will be seen in the stands at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium and multiple Super Bowl commercials.
Kelce already had a Hall of Fame-worthy career before this season, having been a key player on two of Kansas City’s NFL title teams. His relationship with pop star Taylor Swift ignites a shinier spotlight on him and his family.
His brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, went viral during the Chiefs-Bills AFC playoff game in Buffalo when he leaned out of a suite bare-chested.
Frank’s RedHot played on this in a spot already posted on Instagram, showing him ripping off multiple shirts displaying the ingredients for buffalo chicken dip, including the sauce.
He’s also the center of a Frank’s Super Bowl 58 ad that asks viewers to share themselves putting the hot sauce on their favorite food for a chance to win one of 58 prizes, each worth $1,000.
European chocolatier Lindt bought commercial time during the Super Bowl for the first time this year. To promote the ad airing during the first quarter, the company partnered with Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce.
In a video on the Lindt website, she talks about her game day spread, featuring Lindt’s truffles as a sweet counterbalance to salty food and salty viewers.
“Everyone can get a flavor that they’d like. They’re also beautiful to look at on your table, so they’re a great complement to everything you traditionally think of for your game day spread,” she told People.
The ad is a 30-second spot set to Perry Como’s “Round and Round,” with people enjoying the truffles as one of the sweets around the song’s lyrics.
“We needed [content] that breaks through the environment of the Super Bowl, but it also had to be an ad that conveyed what our brand was about,” Lindt USA CEO Ana Dominguez told Business Insider.
Family matriarch Donna Kelce has also garnered ad time. In addition to becoming a spokeswoman for Barefoot Wine earlier in the season, she partnered with Ziploc for the Super Bowl.
In a play on NFL press conferences, she says in the spot posted to Instagram, “The rumors are true. Thanks to my partnership with Ziploc, I’m excited to announce my new title: chief leftover officer,” adding that Ziploc’s bags are perfect for storing “big game” leftovers.
