Questions shouted at President Biden about his age and cognitive abilities were ignored by the president in his Oval Office sit-down with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

In the meeting with Mr. Scholz, the president made brief remarks about the need for more funding for Ukraine as its war with Russia continues to carry on.

But he ignored questions shouted by the press about the contents of a bombshell report Thursday that raised alarms about his mental fitness.

Mr. Biden has been on the defensive since special counsel Robert Hur’s report and his unsettling statements about the president’s advanced age and diminished memory.

The report describes Mr. Biden as a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” and that he had “diminished faculties in advancing age.”

Mr. Biden addressed Mr. Hur’s reports in a combative news conference Thursday in which he forgot the name of the church while talking about his deceased son, Beau, and mixed up the presidents of Egypt and Mexico.

“I know what the hell I’m doing,” Mr. Biden raged at reporters.

“I’ve been president and I put this country back on its feet. I don’t need his recommendation,” he continued.
