Ex-Trump White House adviser John Bolton said President Biden “pretty well nailed” former President Donald Trump’s disposition in cussword-filled remarks.

Politico recently reported that Mr. Biden, in private, called Mr. Trump a “sick f—-” and said “what a f—-ing a—hole this guy is,” when discussing his likely opponent in the upcoming presidential election.

Mr. Bolton, who served as national security adviser for Mr. Trump from 2018 to 2019, was asked by CNN on Friday whether he shared the same feeling about the former president.

“Well, I think in personality terms, I think President Biden has it pretty well nailed,” Mr. Bolton said.

Mr. Trump cruised to easy victories in the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary, trimming his competition for the GOP presidential nomination to only Nikki Haley, who as U.N. ambassador also served under the ex-president.

Those victories have set the stage for a likely rematch between the former and current presidents for the Nov. 5 election.

Meanwhile, Mr. Bolton has been a vocal critic of Mr. Trump since leaving the White House.

He says Mr. Trump doesn’t understand the job of commander in chief, particularly in the national security space.

“He didn’t learn much in the first four years,” Mr. Bolton said. “He certainly hasn’t learned anything since then.”

Mr. Trump has a similar disdain for his former adviser, saying soon after leaving the presidency, “Frankly, if I had listened to him, we would be in World War Six by now.”
