Chrysler on Tuesday recalled more than 330,000 Jeep Grand Cherokees over a steering-wheel issue that could cause crashes.
The recall affects 338,238 Jeep Grand Cherokees made from 2021 to 2023.
According to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration filing, the steering knuckle and the upper arm ball joint of the steering mechanism may fall forward, causing the steering wheel to turn away. The malfunction could increase the chances of a collision if it were to happen while driving.
Drivers with affected vehicles are encouraged to take their cars to their local dealer for replacement parts.
The Jeep recall is the automaker’s largest this year. In December, the company recalled nearly 150,000 of its Ram vehicles over headlight and turn signal issues.
