OPINION:
The climate alarmists are putting the cart before the horse. Global warming is causing the rise in carbon dioxide, not the other way around. Even if we reduced carbon emissions to zero, it would take many centuries to see even a minimal effect on climate.
Climate scientists whose livelihoods do not depend on supporting the global warming hoax have been insisting for decades that celestial events are the root cause. They say it’s the way the sun’s rays hit Earth that is driving the now centuries-long, gradual warming of the globe.
The world spent between $1.5 trillion and $5.5 trillion annually from 2020 to 2023 in its quest to stop global warming — all to no effect. That amount is predicted to rise to about $10 trillion per year by the end of this decade. In truth, that money is flowing into the pockets of the world’s elites.
Even if it were wealth redistribution from First World to Third World countries, the fact is that money will not help the world’s poor. Every action we’re now taking in the name of climate will make the lives of the world’s poor worse. In fact, the resulting rise in the cost of energy will likely prove deadly for many of the world’s poor.
It’s really way past time to stop this madness.
