Surveillance footage outside a Fort Worth, Texas, Walmart caught a person taking money from behind the table being used by a Girl Scout troop to sell their eponymous cookies.

The theft took place on Feb. 11 at about 2 p.m. local time. The Fort Worth Police Department posted the footage on X Monday.

The suspect, described by police as a Black male 18 to 24 years old, was wearing a gray hoodie and black beanie. He’s seen leaving the Walmart and snatching the money before running off. The scout and her mom stood and watched, shocked.

“We are talking about a little girl here. A little girl trying to sell Girl Scout cookies. Around $450 in cash is what was stolen,” FWPD Officer Brad Perez told KDFW-TV.

Police did not identify the victims, but Officer Perez told KDFW-TV that people have reached out to try and donate money as a way to make up for what was taken.
