Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley trolled former President Donald Trump and his supporters by turning him into a fake Halloween costume.

Ms. Haley posted a picture on X of edited Halloween costume packaging with a photo of the former president. The costume is labeled “Weakest General Election Candidate Ever” and said it includes “$50M in legal fees,” “terrible poll numbers,” “social media rants” and “temper tantrums.”

The legal fees are a jab at Mr. Trump because his latest campaign finance report shows his campaign paid $50 million to lawyers fighting the various charges against the ex-president.

The packaging also notes that the costume doesn’t come with a private jet or Diet Coke.

“Democrats are ecstatic about the prospect of running against Donald Trump. They couldn’t dream up a worse general election candidate if they tried,” the former South Carolina governor wrote. “Between his legal drama, his terrible poll numbers, and his confusion, Trump will hand Democrats a big victory.”

Ms. Haley and Mr. Trump are the only two notable candidates left in the GOP nomination race. The former president won the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary. The two are now competing in Ms. Haley’s home state of South Carolina, which holds its GOP primary on Feb. 24.

Mr. Trump continues to lead Ms. Haley in the polls, even in her home state. However, some polls show that when it comes to hypothetical matchups between President Biden and a GOP candidate, Ms. Haley sees more support.
