Amid the electric atmosphere of the Super Bowl, where the Kansas City Chiefs clinched an overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers, an off-field controversy was brewing between Taylor Swift and Kanye West, claims former NFL player Brandon Marshall.

According to Mr. Marshall, the scandal ignited when Mr. West was purportedly removed from seats in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, where pop-icon Miss Swift was seated nearby, cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce of the Chiefs.

Speculation arose that Mr. West’s choice of seats was intended to overshadow Miss Swift, as Mr. Marshall suggested that Mr. West positioned himself strategically to be in TV shots featuring Miss Swift, foreseeing frequent camera cuts to the celebrity attendee.

The alleged plan, however, did not see fruition, as actions were reportedly taken to have Mr. West escorted from his spot, seemingly at the behest of Miss Swift’s entourage.

“Taylor Swift gets p***ed off. She boom, boom makes a call or two. Everybody’s involved. He gets kicked out the stadium,” Mr. Marshall said on the I AM ATHLETE podcast, according to the Daily Mail.

“He was trying to leverage her celebrity.”

The Mail said, “It is unclear where Marshall got his information from.”

Mr. West was seen at the Super Bowl alongside his wife, Bianca Censori, both donning matching black outfits, and drawing attention with West’s distinct facemask adorned with a crucifix. As a further backdrop to the reported incident, the game also featured an appearance by Kim Kardashian, Mr. West’s ex-wife, among its notable spectators.

Despite the former NFL player’s claims and the subsequent speculation they have triggered, there has been no comment from official representatives for either Miss Swift or Mr. West.
