A helicopter carrying six people crashed in the Mojave Desert Friday, and they haven’t been found dead or alive.
The chopper went down at 10 p.m. in Nipton, California, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The aircraft had left Palm Springs International Airport at 8:45 p.m. en route to Boulder City, Nevada, almost 200 miles away, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, according to KABC-TV.
Both the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
No bodies or survivors from the crash have been located, the sheriff’s office said, and none of the passengers or crew have been publicly identified.
The aircraft was registered with Orbic Air, according to KNBC-TV.
