Four players from the University of Maryland will play in the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl on Thursday.
Quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa will join offensive lineman Gottlieb Ayedze, and defensive backs Ja’Quan Sheppard and Tarheeb Still.
The game, airing at 8 p.m. on NFL Network, is an all-star showcase for NFL hopefuls looking to impress scouts and coaches to improve their stock before April’s draft.
In 2023, 45 players from the East-West Shrine Bowl were selected in the NFL draft.
Tagovailoa, the younger brother of Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, will be split snaps with two other quarterbacks for the West.
Tyrae Reid Jr., who worked as an offensive assistant for the Washington Commanders in 2023, is coaching Tagovailoa and the other quarterbacks.
Tagovailoa holds every major passing record at the University of Maryland and was selected to the 2023 All-Big Ten Second Team.
