NEW ORLEANS — Washington Commanders safety Jeremy Chinn appeared to lose consciousness after colliding with a teammate during Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.
Players from both teams took a knee while Washington’s medical staff tended to the former Carolina Panther. While trying to tackle Saints receiver Marquez Vales-Scantling, Chinn crashed into teammate Darrick Forrest. Players on the field immediately called for medical assistance.
Chinn eventually walked off the field flanked by trainers.
The safety’s apparent injury is the second concussion for the Commanders on Sunday. Tight end Zach Ertz was ruled out for the remained of the game after suffering a head injury in the first half.
