OPINION:
In February 2023, a Chinese spy balloon traveled for a week, unintercepted, in U.S. airspace (“Feds say New Jersey drones are actually airplanes,” web, Dec. 12). It flew over various strategic military power projection sites and nuclear installations, yet the Biden administration did nothing.
The president lied as he gaslighted the American people by asserting there was nothing seriously dangerous about the airspace violation, and that it was more than likely a harmless weather balloon.
In December 2023, for 17 nights, numerous unidentified drones overflew Langley Air Force Base airspace. They were neither intercepted or explained by the administration.
Now, in December 2024, hundreds of technologically advanced drones — many the size of automobiles — track from an Atlantic Ocean origin to overfly East Coast points, specifically New York and New Jersey.
Again, these Pentagon geniuses have no clue as to the crafts’ identity or points of origin. And again, they are asserting that the drones are harmless.
It is obvious that these drones are data-collection mechanisms with the ability to send their intelligence information to their controlling masters in real time.
In the context of this spy balloon, drone and human invasion of the United States, the Biden administration and its military and security bureaucracies are absolutely worthless.
