With November fast approaching, there is an urgent need to clean up the voter rolls. More than 10 million immigrants have entered the U.S. illegally since 2020, and evidence shows that many are now registered to vote. There is a very real possibility that the number of noncitizens voting in November’s election could determine the outcome, especially in states considered battlegrounds.

My home state of North Carolina is a good example of a battleground. It’s estimated that nearly 35,000 noncitizens voted here in 2020. Due to the deep-blue nature of its major cities and university towns, North Carolina has gone from a reliable red state to now being considered lavender. It still went for Donald Trump in 2020, but the margin was slim. It’s entirely possible that added noncitizen votes could determine the outcome in my state.

The Democratic National Committee is fighting nationwide to stop any effort to clean up voter databases. It is critical that we keep the pressure up on our secretaries of state and boards of election to resist Democratic Party pressure and clean up the voter rolls.
