Republicans reacted to Vice President Kamala Harris’ claim that her “values” haven’t changed by posting a video montage on X of a litany of progressive ideas she has supported throughout her career.
In her first sit-down interview as the Democratic presidential candidate, Ms. Harris defended backing away from her more liberal positions by saying her virtues are steadfast.
“I think the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and my decisions is my values have not changed,” Ms. Harris told CNN in the interview.
The official GOP X account compiled the montage while saying Ms. Harris’ values are “dangerously liberal.”
Clips include Ms. Harris saying, “We should have that conversation” about whether convicted felons — including the 2013 Boston Marathon bombers — should be allowed to vote in prison.
In other clips, Ms. Harris talks about banning ICE, offshore drilling, plastic straws and fracking. She also floats the idea of decriminalizing illegal border crossings.

In one clip she tells a radio host he’s “absolutely right” when he states policing dates back to slave patrols. She also says politicians and the public should take a look at police budgets.
Ms. Harris appears angry in one of the clips, pointing her finger and exclaiming, “How dare we speak Merry Christmas!”
The clip ends with Ms. Harris declaring herself a “radical.”
“I am radical. I do believe we need to get radical about what we are doing,” she said.
“Kamala Harris. Failed. Weak. Dangerously liberal,” the GOP ad ends.
