Former President Donald Trump reposted a crude sexual insult about his Democratic rival Wednesday, implying that her political career began in the bedroom.
On his Truth Social account, Mr. Trump reposted the image of an X post that showed Vice President Kamala Harris with his 2016 rival Hillary Clinton.
The X poster “Zeek Arkham” replied to the photo with the comment “Funny how [oral sex] impacted both their careers differently…” using a locker-room term.
Mr. Trump reposted an image of the X post, continuing a pattern of making or amplifying vulgar comments about his political opponents.
The remark by “Zeek Arkham” referred to former President Bill Clinton’s affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky and a 1990s affair Ms. Harris had with Willie Brown, then the speaker of the California Assembly.
Mr. Clinton’s affair led to his impeachment and became a permanent mark on his presidency and Mrs. Clinton’s subsequent political career. On the other hand. Ms. Harris’ political career took off after her affair with Mr. Brown, though it’s not obvious that the affair was the reason for it.
“Zeek Arkham” was thrilled by Mr. Trump’s repost, calling it an “awesome moment.”
“Hillary is gonna get me, isn’t she? Well, it’s been great knowing you all… raise a fist in my memory,” he joked.
