Democrats have a new attack plot against MAGA

The American Bar Association, an organization with members who consistently lean left, is rolling out a new task force to push attorneys to use their legal platforms and influences to fight the “serious threat” of “rising authoritarianism.” They call it the task force for American democracy.

This is Democrats’ code for “get MAGA.”

This is what the task force says, according to The New York Times, which obtained a copy of the group’s opening statement: “Our country and democracy face a wide variety of serious threats, including that of rising authoritarianism. For the first time in our history we dd not have a peaceful transition of power in our last presidential election. Just as doctors were on the frontlines of the nation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, lawyers must now answer the clarion call to defend America’s constitutional democracy and the rule of law.”

This is what the task force means: Get MAGA.

Or, in longer form — “Hey, you know how we trumped up charges against Donald Trump then used those trumped-up charges to drag him into courtroom after courtroom to bankrupt him, destroy his reputation and ruin his chances to successfully run for president? Let’s do the same to all those Americans who supported Trump and his Make America Great Again principles.”

Ask Peter Navarro what happens when you run afoul of the Democrats and their George Soros-supported district attorneys and judiciary friends. He just came out of four months in jail to announce at the Republican National Convention, “I went to prison so you won’t have to.” His crime? Refusing to throw Trump to the Democrat wolves.

Democrats in politics is a dangerous thing. But Democrats in politics combined with Democrats in the judiciary system is a powerfully dangerous peril for any conservative, and particularly for those conservatives who wear the MAGA hat proudly.

“The authoritarian bloc, now operating under the banner of MAGA, has captured the Republican Party and the Supreme Court and holds trifectas in 22 states. And they are steadily moving ahead with plans to corner complete federal power in 2024,” wrote one at Convergence in June.

That’s the viewpoint of all those of the left — that any American who sets love of God, country, Constitution and family as the priority list for proper living is an American sickened by MAGA fascism. This same left has never met a court system it didn’t desire to corrupt.

“Through extensive research, community engagement via listening tours and numerous consultations, the Task Force has identified key issues undermining our democratic institutions,” wrote ABA President Mary Smith, The Hill reported. “Notably, the rise of misinformation, the normalization of political violence and a growing disillusionment with democratic governance.”

There you have it.

Censorship, clamps on free assembly and mo’ propaganda, mo’ propaganda, mo’ propaganda are the keys to the fixes. How better to impose this new American order than via activists in the legal world?

The group’s 30 attorneys are headed by J. Michael Luttig, described as a conservative judge, and Jeh Johnson, the secretary of homeland security under Barack Obama — giving a semblance of nonpartisanship to the task force. But some Republicans love to hate MAGA, too. And if the political makeup of the ABA is to be taken into consideration — as it should — then top donations all lean left.

In 2024 so far, the leading eight recipients of ABA’s members’ donations are, according to OpenSecrets.org: DNC Service Corp.; Democratic candidate Kristen Rivet McDonald; the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; the Kamala Harris-supporting ActBlue; the Democrat-supporting Senate Majority PAC; the Democrat-supporting AmeriPac: The Fund for a Greater America; the Democratic Party of Wisconsin; and Democratic candidate Katie Porter.

Seems nonpartisan, right?

This seems more a means of attacking MAGA using the court process, and pretending the attacks are all about preserving democracy and fighting fascism and authoritarianism and defending the rule of law. But whenever Democrats talk Constitution talk, patriotic Americans’ ears should perk up.

The left always uses sweet-sounding words to disguise their socialist, collectivist ways. They mask their Marxism beneath a cloak of constitutional concerns.

That this task force is just rearing as 2024 elections dawn, with a Trump ticket hard-charging toward a White House win, is not coincidental. The left’s previous court shenanigans to take out Trump from the presidential race have soured. They don’t when to call it quits, though. Here’s one clue about one fight they’re preparing to wage already: The task force will deal “with deep political divisions and pervasive misinformation about our electoral processes,” Ms. Smith said.

So when Democrats cheat at the ballot boxes and Trump wages objections to the counts, the ABA has a batch of attorneys ready to go to war — and that includes warring against any  “pervasive misinformation” put forth by Trump voters and MAGA types who might raise questions about curious vote counts.

Election Day? That’s so 1980s. Election week, election weeks, election months — over the past couple decades, Democrats have found stretching out elections can be a surefire path to winning races. Now they have a special task force of attorneys who can concentrate on doing just that.
