The Washington Wizards will play a regular season game against the Miami Heat in Mexico City for Dia de Los Muertos on Nov. 2.
The NBA schedule was released Thursday and included a smattering of international games as the league expands its global reach. The Indiana Pacers and San Antonio Spurs will play a pair of regular season games in Paris in January.
The league had already announced preseason games in the United Arab Emirates for the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets.
The Wizards’ season will begin with a home game against Boston on Oct. 24. No. 2 overall pick Alex Sarr will be expected to make his NBA debut.
Washington will have just one nationally televised game — a Jan. 16 matchup against former Wizard Bradley Beal and the Phoenix Suns — as the franchise continues a years-long rebuild.
The Wizards schedule also includes seven consecutive away games in March, the franchise’s longest road trip since 2002.
