OPINION:
Fewer Americans today see the importance of childhood vaccines, with the most dramatic declines in parental approvals of the normal vaccine schedule for newborns through 18-year-olds taking place after 2019 — in the post-COVID, shot-pushing years.
Hmm. Wonder why. Here’s a guess: Democrats went nuts pushing experimental shots into the arms of men, women and children in America. And Americans got sick of it. More than that, Americans became suspicious.
The medical bureaucrats promised all along the COVID way that the shots were safe — they were safe for the short-term, they were safe for the long-term, they were safe for forever and ever and ever — and not only safe, but effective. Then as time wore on, Americans discovered that those heart issues their youngsters, particularly young men, were experiencing due to the COVID shots were, oops, lookie here, due to the COVID shots.
And then as time wore on, too, Americans discovered that the whole effective thing was really not as effective as touted — that the efficacy rates of the shots dropped like loads of bricks on a Black Lives Matter-controlled street corner — which led to another curious discovery about the untrustworthiness of the medical bureaucrats and politicians and pharmaceuticals and media: Why were Donald Trump rallygoers so vehemently condemned for gathering and faulted for spreading the coronavirus, but Black Lives Matter types and their cronies given free COVID passes as they congregated without face masks in the streets, and shared wine and booze bottles among strangers?
Anyhow: efficacy. Booster, booster, who’s got the booster. That became the national COVID campaign, headed by everybody’s favorite face of tyranny, Dohktah Anthony Fauci. The shots became so effective that we were told we’d have to get them every year. The shots became so effective the federal bureaucrats had to change the definitions of vaccine and vaccination so that they no longer seemed to promise to stop the spread of a disease.
That’s called a Red Flag.
Yet calling out those red flags was seen as dangerous.
Fauci himself threw a big tantrum at the idea of anyone questioning his particular pushes for mask mandates and stay-at-home mandates and COVID shot mandates because, as he put it, he “represented science.” He was science.
Speaking of hypocrisy (and whenever Fauci’s name rears, we are indeed speaking of hypocrisy) — Fauci, after all his face-masking catcalling, was photographed while sitting at a baseball game minus his own face mask — but speaking of hypocrisy, how about all those illegals let into the country under Joe Biden’s watch who were not forced to wear face masks, or get COVID shots, but were instead sent along to states north, east and west of the border to stay in hotels at taxpayer expense?
It’s really no surprise that parents are tired of Big Pharma, Big Government, Big Stupid Shot Mandates. It’s really no surprise that they’re sick of the government’s hypocrisy; wearied by the flip-flop deceptions of the shots; concerned about the adverse health impacts from the shots that are — to this day — being downplayed or outright concealed by those who are afraid of being held accountable for their complicity in the shots’ mandates.
It’s really no surprise at all.
Gallup polling asked, “How important is it that parents get their children vaccinated — extremely important, very important, somewhat important, not very important or not at all important?” Between 2001 and 2019, the numbers of those responding extremely important fell from 64 percent to 58 percent, with one lower drop in 2015 to 54 percent. Between 2001 and 2019, the numbers of those responding extremely/very important fell from 94 percent to 84 percent.
But the big drops came after 2019.
Between 2019 and 2024, those saying it’s extremely important for parents to get their children vaccinated fell from 58 percent to 40 percent.
Between 2019 and 2024, those saying it’s extremely/very important for parents to get their children vaccinated fell from 84 percent to 69 percent.
We’re not talking COVID shots here.
We’re talking about the normal, usual, previously accepted (by the vast majority of the population) measles-mumps-rubella shots, polio shots, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis shots.
This is what happens when government lies and deceives.
This is what happens when medical bureaucrats leave their lanes — to guide and recommend and offer the best medical practicing advice — and enter the world of politics and try to control: People lose trust in their supposed elected and appointed experts.
This is what happens when Democrats get a taste of power, as they did with the COVID mandates. They turned into little dictators.
And now the American people have lost their trust in the government medical experts. Rightly so. To be honest, the government never deserved that much trust anyway. Any bureaucrat who says, “Trust me, I’m from the government, and I’m here to help,” is a bureaucrat who should inspire suspicion.
The fact that more parents nowadays are reluctant to shoot chemicals into their babies’ bodies just because the government says they must shows that Americans are finally getting it right.
