In my opinion, the Chinese Communist Party and its surrogates are strategically targeting essential American manufacturing, posing a significant threat to America’s industrial defense capabilities. By undercutting domestic producers through unfair trade practices, such as dumping cheap products and engaging in intellectual property theft, the Communist Party weakens the resilience of American industries critical to our national security.

Leaders in Washington have failed to take the necessary steps to protect American employers and workers. Why? Economic considerations, geopolitical prioritization and pressure from special interest groups are just some of the reasons. But they are underestimating the long-term implications of allowing foreign entities to dominate crucial industries.

If left unchecked, this trend could seriously compromise America’s ability to quickly mobilize and respond to security threats from China. Overreliance on foreign suppliers for essential components puts our nation at risk of supply chain disruptions during times of conflict or crisis. It’s imperative that policymakers prioritize the protection and revitalization of domestic manufacturing.
