Our cognitively impaired president’s latest attempt to buy votes in any manner possible demonstrates his utter contempt for the law (“Biden cancels $7.4 billion more in student debt through relief program under legal assault,” web, April 12).

He recently revealed that anyone who has paid on his or her student loans for 20 years will be relieved from any further obligation on the indebtedness (the recent Supreme Court ruling prohibiting such action be damned).

The inescapable result, of course, is that the repayment burden will now be transferred to the rest of us taxpayers. And should we be surprised if President Biden’s handlers next tell him that such forgiveness should not be limited just to students? What about homeowners who have made mortgage payments for 20 years on their 30-year mortgages?

Our president has made perfectly clear that there are no barriers to his frantic attempt to stay in power. And he and his supporters have the chutzpah to say that Donald Trump is a threat to democracy.
