Elon Musk’s social media platform is apparently changing any mention of Twitter to X on the mobile version of the app.
Users noticed on Monday that Twitter.com in a user’s post would immediately be replaced with X.com.
Neither X nor Mr. Musk has commented on the shift.
The change affects only mobile users, with mentions of Twitter.com on X’s desktop application appearing normal. The change is also case-sensitive, so some users who post TWITTER.COM won’t see an alteration.
Some users pointed out that the change affected older posts as well, back from when the app was called Twitter.
Mr. Musk changed the name to X last summer.
