OPINION:
President Biden’s immediate pledge to have the federal government cover the entire cost of the Francis Scott Key Bridge wreck, caused by the foreign cargo ship Dali, is in direct contrast to his reaction to the East Palestine, Ohio, train derailment (“Biden pledges to rebuild Baltimore bridge with federal taxpayer dollars,” web, March 26). In that case, Mr. Biden immediately pledged to hold the owners of the Norfolk Southern train responsible for the cleanup.
As with student loan debt forgiveness, Mr. Biden is once again playing footloose and fancy-free with the taxpayers’ money.
