The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction celebration will be live-streamed on the Disney+ platform, the museum announced on X Thursday. This will mark the first time it’ll be broadcast live.
The event starts at 8 p.m. Eastern time Nov. 3. Even though the museum is in Cleveland, the ceremony will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The edited show will be aired on ABC at 8 p.m. on New Year’s Day.
Previously, the taped ceremony was streamed on HBO.
Inductees performing at the 2023 ceremony include Sheryl Crow, Chaka Khan and Willie Nelson. Ms. Crow and Mr. Nelson are entering the hall as performers, while Ms. Khan is going in as part of a broader category for musical excellence.
Other artists, including Elton John and the Dave Matthews Band, will perform at the ceremony.
Other performers being inducted are Kate Bush, Missy Elliott, Rage Against the Machine, the Spinners and the late George Michael.
DJ Kool Herc and the late Link Wray are being inducted for their musical influence on other artists. Al Kooper and longtime Elton John songwriter Bernie Taupin are going in for musical excellence. Don Cornelius, the late creator of the “Soul Train” TV program, is going in as a nonperformer who had a major impact on the growth of the music industry.
