More than half of Americans think President Biden was “probably involved” in his son’s business transactions.

A poll conducted by J.L. Partners for DailyMail.com shows that 51% said Mr. Biden was probably involved in Hunter’s dealings. Republicans are likelier to believe the president was involved, with 92% agreeing with the statement, than Democrats at 11%. More than half of independents at 55% believe he was involved.

The results come just a day before House Republicans plan to hold their first hearing for the impeachment inquiry into Mr. Biden. The hearing is going to focus on “constitutional and legal questions” that surround the allegations of the president’s involvement.

On Tuesday, Rep. James Comer, Kentucky Republican, revealed that Hunter received $250,000 via two wire transfers from China that had the president’s Wilmington, Delaware, address listed as the beneficiary.

Mr. Biden has said he had nothing to do with his son’s business dealings, and 34% believe him. Fifteen percent of those polled said they didn’t know if he was involved.

The poll found that 48% believe the criminal charges against former President Donald Trump are worse than those against Hunter. Thirty-five percent said Hunter’s were worse, and 10% said they are both equally bad.

Mr. Trump has been indicted four times this year on state and federal charges. Hunter was indicted this month for lying about his drug use when purchasing a handgun.
