Police are accusing a North Carolina man of placing secret cameras in Starbucks bathrooms.

According to authorities, employees found two cameras in an Asheville, North Carolina, Starbucks in May 2022. Police then combed through surveillance footage and store records, identifying and locating the suspect over a year later.

William Mcalpin Aycock, 37, was arrested and charged this week with two counts of felony street peeping. He was booked and released, with a written promise to appear again. Police searched his residence and found no additional evidence.

Police did not reveal if Mr. Aycock targeted other locations in the area. He is expected back in court on Oct. 2.
