Former President Donald Trump criticized Forbes magazine after being bumped from its list of the 400 richest Americans, calling the publication “fake” and “very badly failing.”
He posted on Truth Social Monday that the magazine “lost most of its relevance long ago,” and said it doesn’t know anything about him.
The magazine announced last week that Mr. Trump didn’t make the cut for the list. He is estimated to have a $2.6 billion fortune, which puts him $300 million off from making the cutoff, according to Forbes. They estimated that Mr. Trump’s net worth declined more than $600 million from a year ago, and that Truth Social is his biggest money suck.
Mr. Trump wrote that Forbes “took me off their Fake Forbes 400 list, just by a ‘whisker,’ even though they know that I should be high up on that now very dated and discredited ‘antique.’”
In the post, he said the magazine was working with “the Racist and highly incompetent” New York Attorney General Letitia James, who has brought a civil fraud case against him. Ms. James’ suit alleges that Mr. Trump lied about the value of his company, property and net worth.
The frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination ended the post by saying that Forbes has “attacked me with really dumb writers assigned to hit me hard, and I am now up 60 Points on the Republicans, and beating Crooked Joe by a lot. So much for Forbes!”
