Former President Donald Trump hurled insults on social media at the New York judge who ordered his daughter Ivanka Trump to testify against the Trump family, saying the judge was “unhinged” and “crazed in his hatred” of the ex-president.

Judge Arthur Engoron ruled Friday that Ivanka Trump was required to testify against her father and brothers in the case that alleged that the former president and his business manipulated financial statements to gain favorable terms on insurance and loans.

Mr. Trump unloaded on Judge Engeron, calling him an “out of control ‘nut job’” and decrying the order because his daughter was dismissed as a defendant in the case in June.

“I truly believe he is CRAZY, but certainly, at a minimum, CRAZED in his hatred of me,” Mr. Trump said. “This case should have never started, but now must be dismissed.”

Mr. Trump and his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump are defendants in the case.

New York Attorney General Letitia James brought the lawsuit against Mr. Trump. Her office said that Ivanka Trump remains “financially and professionally intertwined with the Trump Organization,” and has “personal knowledge” of the facts related to the charges against her father and brothers.

The trial has been underway for a month and has featured testimony from former accountants and ex-Trump fixer Michael Cohen. Mr. Trump is slated to testify on Nov. 6.

Mr. Trump has repeatedly attacked Judge Engoron, Ms. James and court staff, ultimately leading to a gag order being levied against him.

He has broken that order twice now, causing Judge Engoron to fine Mr. Trump $10,000 for posting a photo of one of the judge’s law clerks next to Senate Majority Leader Charles S. Schumer in which the former president claimed that the clerk was the top Senate Democrat’s “girlfriend.”
