Matthew Perry, whose role as Chandler Bing on NBC’s “Friends” made him a household name, has died. He was 54.
Law enforcement sources told The Los Angeles Times that Perry died at his home in his hot tub. Authorities arrived at his home at 4 P.M. and found the actor unresponsive.
Perry, who achieved massive success for his role on “Friends” in the 1990s, was also a prominent film actor, appearing in “The Whole Nine Yards,” “Getting In,” “17 Again” and others.
He also battled substance abuse issues for decades and had not acted professionally since 2017.
