Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he will not vote for President Biden or former President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

In an appearance on “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa,” Mr. Christie, a 2024 GOP presidential contender, said he could not stomach voting for either man.

“I’m not voting,” he said of the hypothetical 2024 rematch between Mr. Biden and Mr. Trump. “I’ll vote down ticket, but I won’t vote for president.”

Mr. Christie has been betting since he jumped into the race that a strong showing in New Hampshire could act as a springboard to the Republican nomination.

He also has been chomping at the bit for a chance to face off against Mr. Trump, whom Mr. Christie endorsed in 2016 and on whose transition team he served.

But that moment has escaped Mr. Christie — in large part because Mr. Trump has skipped the GOP debates. Mr. Christie is polling fourth in New Hampshire, more than 30 percentage points behind the former president, who leads the pack.

Mr. Christie said that Mr. Biden is too old for the job and that Mr. Trump’s four years in the White House made him a worse person.

Mr. Christie said that contrasts with how the presidency made George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama “better people.”

“It humbled them. It made them understand their limits. It helped them to become aspirational in other ways,” he said. “[Mr Trump is] the only person of the presidents I’ve known where the presidency made him a worse person, and he’s a worse person today than he ever was before.”
