Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is absolutely right (“DeSantis: U.S. shouldn’t take in Palestinian refugees from Gaza because they’re ‘all antisemitic,’” web, Oct. 15). Allowing refugees from Gaza into the U.S. would be counterproductive. There is enough antisemitism and anti-American feeling and action in our nation already.

In fact, it’s right in the House of Representatives. Instead of pledging her allegiance to the American flag, prominent “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Michigan Democrat, remains loyal to the Palestinian flag. Born to Palestinian immigrants in Detroit, Ms. Tlaib was taught at an early age to hate Israel and all Jewish people. In essence, Ms. Tlaib’s way of giving the finger to Israel and all Jewish people is to display the Palestinian flag outside her Capitol office.

While Mr. DeSantis is taking much heat for his statement, I stand firmly with him.
