President Biden on Wednesday vowed to provide Israel with full support to defend its citizens in the wake of the deadly terror attack on the Jewish state by Hamas.

Mr. Biden arrived in war-torn Israel earlier in the day and during a meeting with its war Cabinet, pledged unwavering support from the U.S. in its war with Hamas.

“In the wake of Hamas’ appalling terrorist assault — it was brutal, inhumane, almost beyond belief what they did — this Cabinet came together and, standing strong, standing united — I want you to know that you are not alone. You are not alone,” Mr. Biden said.

“We will continue to have Israel’s back as you work to defend your people. We will continue to work with you and our partners across the region to prevent more tragedies to innocent civilians,” he continued.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the president that Israel will have to prevail after the attacks, which left 1,400 people dead, including 30 Americans, and 3,400 injured since Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Oct. 7.

“The road to victory will be long and hard, but united in purpose, and with a deep sense of justice, an unbreakable spirit of our soldiers and our people, Israel will prevail,” he said.
