I don’t mince words when I see a criminal act of treason committed by politicians, those individuals who are supposed to abide by our Constitution and represent us (“Tlaib’s display of Palestinian flag at House office sparks push to ban non-U.S. flags in Congress,” web, Oct. 10).

The First Amendment gives us the right to free speech, but it doesn’t allow anyone to violate our laws. Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is guilty of violating her oath of office and promoting the heinous act of genocide against the people of Israel. She had the unmitigated gall to post a Palestinian flag outside her office in defiance of her duties to uphold the U.S. Constitution.

Under Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution, “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” Adhering is the operative word.

When a Fox News reporter tracked Ms. Tlaib down this week and asked whether the congresswoman thought it was OK to cut off the heads of babies and murder the innocent, Ms. Tlaib simply ignored the question.

This miserable excuse for a human being should be removed from office forthwith and charged with treason along with the other members of “the Squad” who are taking the side of Hamas, a murderous, soulless affront to humanity that is against all that America stands for.
