Everybody has dark times — some worse than others.

The question is: how to overcome?

How to rise above horrific situations, addictions, the destruction of dreams and unforeseen realities that come at unpredictable times that throw worlds off kilter?

Rob Carson, syndicated radio talker and Newsmax TV’s “What in the World” host, has one such story of rising above, overcoming all and achieving the dream. And he doesn’t pull punches while telling it. He was an alcoholic floundering in career failure and forced into selling cars for a living. And he learned he had been born of a mother who had been raped. If she had aborted, he wouldn’t be alive.

That’s got to be a life-changing truth to learn.

“I really thought my life would be over if I didn’t do something,” Carson says, of his turning moment.  “I think I had something maybe pretty miraculous happen. … I think God helps you — really, really helps you — when you’ve given up.”

Listen in for the whole story of inspiration and faith.
