Former President Donald Trump will be attending a town hall event next week in Iowa, according to reports.
The town hall, hosted by Fox News’ Sean Hannity, will take place Dec. 5 in Davenport, Iowa, a day before the fourth GOP debate.
Mr. Trump will once again be skipping the debate that is set for Dec. 6 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Instead, he will be hosting a fundraiser in Florida that day.
The former president is still the front-runner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. He leads by more than 40 points ahead of former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis who are vying for second place.
Mr. Trump has qualified for every debate but has not attended them. For the first debate in August in Milwaukee, the former president instead did an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson that was broadcast on X at the same time as the debate.
For September’s debate in Simi Valley, California, Mr. Trump made his way to Michigan to visit the autoworkers’ strike. For November’s debate in Miami, he held a rally in nearby Hialeah the same night.
In October, his campaign called on the Republican National Committee to cancel all remaining debates, saying the committee must “refocus its manpower” on beating President Biden.
