Cal Thomas’ constant criticism of Donald Trump and his many supporters is getting old (“Many biblical illiterates among the evangelical fold,” web, Nov. 27).

Maybe it is about time Mr. Thomas criticize Democrats for voting for politicians who act in ungodly ways.

For example, how about pointing out that it is largely the Democratic Party that continues to support the murder of unborn babies (the last estimate I heard was around 65 million and growing since 1972). Or how about pointing out that it is the Democrats who continually criticize Israel for trying to defend itself and its people? Or that it’s the Democrats who defend the terrorist actions of Hamas and other groups trying to destroy Israel? Aren’t the Jewish people the chosen people of God?

Why not write about the ongoing and deep corruption of the Biden family, a family that would make the Corleones of “The Godfather” look like a bunch of choirboys?

Sure, it would be nice if Ward Cleaver were running against Mike Brady for public office, but all politicians have skeletons in their closets. So do members of the general public. And yes, there are times I would like to see Mr. Trump keep his mouth shut, but he is a bombastic and combative man in many ways, and I do not see that changing.

I think most people can discern the secular world from the theological world. Mr. Thomas likes to throw out biblical verses when criticizing Mr. Trump and his supporters. Well, Mr. Thomas, how about some other verses from the Bible, such as “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”?
