Israel on Tuesday accused Hamas of violating the terms of the cease-fire only hours after the latest hostages abducted by the terror group were released.

The truce was on the verge of expiring Monday when it was extended by two days.

Officials of the Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday said three explosive devices were detonated in Gaza near two locations where IDF troops had halted when the pause came into effect.

“In one of those locations, terrorists also opened fire at the troops, who responded with fire,” IDF officials said on their Telegram social media page. “A number of soldiers were lightly injured during the incidents.”

IDF troops near the scene of Tuesday’s attacks were there per the terms of the pause. Israel accused Hamas of “violating the framework” of the agreement that was brokered in Qatar.

The cease-fire comes amid the seven-week war between Israel and Hamas, which started the conflict with its Oct. 7 rampage into southern Israel that killed about 1,200 people.
