America wouldn’t be facing such perilous and dark times if more Christians were involved in the politics and culture: that’s a fact. Why? Because evil thrives in the face of silence and if Christians don’t speak up and get involved, then evil has no resistance.

Bunni Pound, author of the new “Jesus and Politics: One Woman’s Walk With God in a Mudslinging Profession,” says Jesus was very much an active member of society.

“He got involved in all parts of culture,” she says. “He interacted with all the religious leaders of his time, all the city leaders at the gate, the tax collectors — Matthew. He didn’t step away from culture. He engaged in culture.”

And so should we all, she says.
