Democrats have been resisting the idea of voter reform for decades — specifically, any idea that tightens security and cleans up ballot lists and bolsters integrity. And they label any Republicans who try to secure America’s elections as racists who advocate a return of Jim Crow laws.

They cry voter suppression.

They accuse of disenfranchised minorities.

But Fred Lucas, author of “The Myth of Voter Suppressions: The Left’s Assault on Clean Elections,” says it’s all a Democrat-fueled hyperbolic narrative aimed at stopping election reforms and preventing a national adoption of Voter ID.

“In modern times there are no real cases, no adjudicated cases, of voter suppression,” Lucas said. “You can’t really find the plaintiff. … Can’t produce the plaintiff.”
