Aaron Rodgers has announced his plans.
The future Hall of Fame quarterback said Wednesday that his intention is to play for the New York Jets next season, adding he’s waiting for the Green Bay Packers and the Jets to hammer out a trade. Rodgers, 39, announced the news on the “Pat McAfee Show” with former punter Pat McAfee.
Rodgers said he was leaning “90-10” toward retiring in February when he entered a darkness retreat, but upon exiting the stay, he felt motivation to play another season when he learned that the Packers — his long-time team — wanted to go in a different direction with backup Jordan Love.
