OPINION:
As it turns out, carbon is being unfairly maligned. Recent studies are showing that mankind’s depletion of underground reservoirs is driving much of what is now being attributed to rising carbon dioxide. The draining of coastal aquifers is causing our coastlines to sink, while the draining of underground water elsewhere is shifting land masses enough to cause changes to the tilt of the Earth’s axis. Couple this with an increase in volcanic activity, and you get a much clearer explanation of ongoing climate change than carbon dioxide levels.
Over the ages, carbon dioxide has historically been higher than it is now without causing disasters. In fact, carbon dioxide is essential for all plant life.
It is far past time for the majority to reject the power elite’s mainstream-media-driven propaganda about carbon dioxide causing climate change. They are using fear as an excuse to support the leftist/progressive agenda, in which the well-being of the masses is not a concern. Under the guise of saving mankind, the political left’s misguided solutions will, without a doubt, have dire consequences for all except those whose wealth and power can protect them.
