Brian Davis’ lawsuit against Bank of America is no more.

A lawyer representing Urban Echo Energy LLC, a company owned by Davis, filed a notice of voluntary dismissal to withdraw the civil suit against the investment bank. The notice came after the judge in the case and Bank of America pushed back against Davis’ arguments.

Davis’ company initially filed the lawsuit seeking $500 billion over what it said was a failure to communicate a $7.1 billion offer to buy the Commanders from owner Dan Snyder, as well as Bank of America’s refusal to return $5.1 billion in bank drafts that Davis says would have been used to fund his bid for the team.

That demand, however, was soon dropped to $990,000. Deborah L. Boardman, a federal judge in Maryland assigned to the case, also seemed skeptical of Davis’ arguments — writing in a motion that Urban Echo had not shown that Bank of America returning the bank drafts would lead to Snyder accepting Davis’ bid for the team.” Snyder signed a contract in May to sell the Commanders to billionaire Josh Harris for $6.05 billion.

Last week, Bank of America’s lawyers also raised issues with the case by questioning the authenticity of the bank drafts that Davis sought to deposit.

On Thursday, Davis’ lawyer filed for dismissal — a request that was granted by Boardman.
