Who’s the class bully? The Washington Times’ front-page article from Friday gives a very good possibility: former President Donald Trump (“Trump remarks bode ill for Iowa race”).

Mr. Trump gives his support to politicians of his choosing when he wants to — whether it’s been asked for or not. Then, the winners are supposedly beholden to him for life. The losers are forgotten.

Iowa’s Republican governor, Kim Reynolds, is a double dipper. According to the article, she needed Mr. Trump’s support once, but not the second time.

Regardless, Mr. Trump is taking credit for both of Mrs. Reynolds’ victories, and he is now dismissing her for sensibly staying neutral during the upcoming primary campaign.

(By the way, before Mr. Trump, staying neutral during the primary season was standard operating procedure for elected officials; it was a way to ensure the primary’s results were products of the citizens who voted, not arm-twisting.)

This is a very solid look into the quid-pro-quo mindset of Mr. Trump, the bully of the class.
