Americans used to believe in the concept of free speech. But that ideal is rapidly disappearing, and it’s due to mostly far leftists pushing the need for government control onto the minds of developing youth.

Today’s younger generations are being taught that yes, while free speech is great for healthy democracies, some speech nevertheless is dangerous and in need of control. And guess who they’re being told needs to control the deemed dangerous speech? Government, of course.

Conservatives have been a bit asleep at this wheel for years, allowing things like free speech zones on college campuses to go forth, and dabbling with Democrats to debate hate speech and hate crimes and so forth. It’s time to reel back the clock and remind: speech is God-given. Americans don’t need government to tell them what’s proper to talk about — and what’s not.

John Solomon, founder of Just the News, has a children’s book, “Hidden Headlines,” to teach the younger generations in the proper pro-American way to go.
